In this article I want to talk about self love.

Self love is something that everyone should have.

You know, all of us had problems. One worse than others. We have been through a lot of bullshits, learnt a lot of painful lessons that left us with a broken heart, with a mad soul and all of that. But every time, we stood up and moved on. Because after all, that’s the life. And if we want to be happy, we have to keep moving.

In my opinion the perfect body doesn’t exist. Yes, I am a sportive type of girl, tall, slim and all of that but I haven’t been like that from the day I was born. Some years ago, I wasn’t like I am now. I was bullied, I had to support mean jokes about my body. Back then, when I was just a little girl who unfortunately had listened to these bullshits, I felt horrible because of them. But I had grown up and understood that no one has the right to judge the way you are.

You’re perfect the way you are. You’re beautiful the way you are. Gaining some weight, having curves, being anorexic, having acne, having problems with your skin is completely perfect. You don’t have to change for anyone except for you. If you want to, do it. If you don’t, don’t do it. It’s up to you and it’s completely okay to be like that.

And now, let’s play a game.

Look at your hands, at your fingers and remember how many tears of sadness or joy they had wiped.

Look at your arms and remember every time you hugged someone you loved. Remember the times you were in the worst mood but your arms, had kept you warm and hugged you.

Now look at your legs, and remember every beautiful place that they had walked you to, where you had met some people that always will be in your heart and where you made so many beautiful memories. And now, look at your eyes in the mirror. How many things have they  seen? But the most important thing is how many eyes they had seen that will be always in your heart? Oh, and how many delightful memories you have now.

Look at you mouth, how many times you had smiled because of love, happy moments, old good memories or how many times you wanted to shout out loud because the pain was just too much?

And the most important part of our game is that:

Let’s make a message to our body, to say “thank you” for all what have It done for us. For all the places it took us and for all the good memories we have now. You don’t have to post it anywhere, just think about it, and you’ll see you’ll feel better. Because your body surely will.

So here’s mine:

First of all, I want to say thank you.

For the heart you kept beating every time even when it was broken. For every answer you gave me in my gut. For driving me to that places that will always be in my heart and soul and where I had met people that I will never forget.

For loving me back even when I didn’t know how to love you, for every time you recovered when I pushed you past our limits.

For today, For waking up.

~now you’re turn~

Soo, that’s all for today. I hope this article helped you feel better and relax a little bit.

Much love,
